The East Africa Hub connects talented individuals, young leaders, and innovators to co-create sustainable solutions to local challenges. ComDev Africa’s mission in Africa is to empower communities, entrepreneurs, and organizations to create innovative solutions to social and environmental problems, while building partnerships aimed at integrating the social and solidarity economy into national development.
ComDev in East Africa
The AU-EU “Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective” is a four-year initiative under the AU-EU “Youth Lab” program, which aims to promote a more inclusive society that is more responsive to young people in Africa and Europe. It is implemented by an international consortium specializing in youth-led and youth-focused initiatives, including Oxfam, Restless Development, Search for Common Ground, Youthmakers Hub, and ComDev Africa. In Kenya, we have successfully rolled out the REACTION program, recruited some 30 dedicated youth mobilizers, and carried out concrete actions in three regions, thereby enabling young people to participate in projects that have a positive impact.
