ComDev Africa
ComDev Africa is an innovative and committed pan-African structure under Senegalese law, with recognized expertise in the development of the Social and Solidarity Economy in Africa. Present today in four regional hubs, ComDev Africa aims to extend its anchor to five strategic hubs on the continent, in order to reach one million lives by 2034 and to actively contribute to the transformation of the African continent by the SSE. Since 2014, we have been mobilizing our resources, our knowledge and our networks to build a more human economy, where social entrepreneurship and citizen innovation become powerful levers for sustainable and inclusive change.
Our Vision
The first ten years of ComDev Africa were marked by structuring, building a committed community and promoting SSE as an alternative model of development on the continent. Today, with this experience and an already active presence in four regional hubs, ComDev Africa opens a new chapter in its history. By 2034, we aim to impact one million lives, establish five regional hubs and propel the development of the African continent thanks to the Social and Solidarity Economy, the engine of sustainable, inclusive and anchored change in our territories.

C’est notre laboratoire pour renforcer les communautés, les OSC et les dynamiques citoyennes autour des Objectifs de Développement Durable.
L’incubateur accompagne des entrepreneur.e.s qui développent des projets d’entreprise dont l'objectif est de résoudre un défis social et /ou environnemental et ayant un modèle économique viable.
Une plateforme d'ingénierie pédagogique, d’information et de sensibilisation sur l'entrepreneuriat social, l’accompagnement des managers des institutions et des entreprises pour faciliter la transition de leurs structures et secteurs vers plus d’innovation et d’impact.
Doté de matériel de dernière génération, le studio est mis à disposition de la communauté pour la production de vidéos, de podcasts, de visuels... Le pôle communication de l’équipe veille à une communication responsable et alignée aux valeurs de l’ESS.

Below, some achievements of 2024.
Projects carried out in 9 countries in West, East and North Africa (Senegal, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Togo, Niger, Kenya and Tunisia)
Individual entrepreneurs, GIE and OSC accompanied in the structuring and scaling of their project.
Citizen actions carried out in 6 countries thanks to the Agi-re program deployed by 180 mobilizers recruited and trained by the Community Lab.
Recruiters and trained ambassadors in turn mobilized 180 mobilizers who reached more than 20,000 people
